Inter House Debate Competition

DPSG,SL has set the benchmark for conducting activities in such a way that the students not only enjoy but also learn a great deal from it. With the same perspective in view, the school organised a debate competition for the students of class XI. The topic of the debate was: Landfills - A wise option for disposal of waste.

The representatives of the various houses spoke vehemently on the issue and came up with their perspective regarding the same. They cited reasons and supported them with suitable examples from real life, to justify their stand.

The judges for the day, Ms Rashmi Prakash (Principal) and Ms Sunaina Mitra were deeply engrossed by the views of participants. Aastha from Jal House was declared as the Best Speaker and Udit from Dharti House as best Interjector.

They adjudged the Jal house as first , Dharti house as second, Vayu as third and Agni as fourth. Speaking on the occasion, the principal, Mrs Rashmi Prakash not only congratulated all the participants but also announced that another debate would be conducted soon on Current issues.

The students of class IX and XI, who were an audience to the show, thoroughly enjoyed the event.
