International Yoga Day 2018
DPSG SL believes that Yoga is the addition of energy, strength and beauty to body, mind and soul that keeps one physically fit, mentally healthy and spiritually awakened to say no to ailments.
To mark its importance, the school celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm by organizing a special yoga session for teachers.The main aim was to raise awareness and ignite a passion for fitness and yoga which prevents us from many diseases, stress, tension, fear, etc.
Teachers were taught various asanas such as, Anulom Vilom, Shashakasana, Padahastasana, Uttanpadasana Kati Chakrasana, Bhujangasana, Ardhachakrasana, Wakrasana, Makarasana, Shalabhasana, Vrikshasana, Setubandhasana , Pawanmuktasana, Tadasana,Swasasana Nadi Shodhan, Surya namaskar etc.
The teachers gave an impressive demonstration of asanas.The session was concluded with Yog Nidra asan which relaxed their body and mind.
Before winding up the session, the instructor explained the significance of yoga that it keeps the physician away and helps various parts of the body perform their functions smoothly in proper coordination. It strengthens the immune system and does internal cleansing of blood, body parts, body systems, organs, veins & arteries Having experienced the impact of yoga, they were motivated to make Yoga an important part of their daily routine to stay fit and healthy.
