WORLD RED CROSS DAY
World Red Cross Day is an annual celebration of the principles of the International Red Cross Movement. It is celebrated every year on 8th May . This date is the anniversary of the birth of Henry Dunant, the founder of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the recipient of the first Nobel Peace Prize.
On this occasion, a First aid workshop was organized in the school for the primary students. The school nurse explained the importance of keeping the first aid box handy to be used at the time of minor accidents.
The session progressed with the school nurse explaining the medicines and other things to be kept in first aid box and giving demonstration on how to give the first aid treatment in case of minor cut, deep cut, headache and muscle sprain. The students were excited to see the demonstrations and added a lot of information to their knowledge pool.
