10 Things To Consider About Your 2018 Board Examination Admit Card

CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education is soon going to conduct X and XII board examination in 3 weeks’ time, i.e., 5th March 2018. CBSE has already released the admit cards to the students. Students can collect their respective admit cards from the school reception room or respective class teachers.

However, with 2018 board examination fast approaching students must consider a few things about the same.

Here are some points/valuable information about admit card for all the students who are appearing for the class 10th and 12th boards.

Roll number

The most important thing to check in your card is your roll number which has been allotted to you. Should you find any mistake in your roll number then, you must report to the administrators immediately.

Date of birth

One must keep this mind, that DOB mentioned in class X documents is important as it is an official document both for CBSE as well as any government-related documents. For the students of XII, DOB field would be empty in the admit card.

Center name

Exam Centre number will help you to locate your examination center. You can also refer to the Examination locator app launched by the CBSE Board


Your admit card must have your recent clicked photo attached to it. As per the CBSE boards, admit cards without any photograph, the student will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Personal Info

Your CBSE admit card will include your personal information such as your mother’s name, father’s name and category if applicable. It is highly advised to check the information mentioned, to ensure they are accurate.

Exam dates

The admit card also has date sheet of the subjects. Check that all the paper codes, dates and subjects.

Exam time

Along with the dates your exam time will also be printed on your admit card. Please make sure to manage your time accordingly to avoid any adversities later the day of the examination.


The signature of a student is a must on the admit card.

Principal’s Signature

The students carrying admit card without the stamp and the signature of the Principal will not be allowed inside the examination hall.


Apart from the above information, the students are also required to read all the instructions given on the Admit Card.
